Porta da Mar is located on Riva San Biasio, on the panoramic promenade that runs along the Basin and St Mark’s Square to the Gardens, home to the Biennal Art and Architecture exhibitions. The windows of the Junior Suites and the balcony of the hall offer a splendid view extending from St Mark’s Square to the Island of San Giorgio, up to the Lido of Venice.
The boutique residence is surrounded by the most lively and characteristic part of the city among the Calli and Campi of Castello, the most visited district in Venice. The name Porta da Mar comes from the water entrance to the Venice Arsenal, an ancient complex of shipyards and naval workshops that was the heart of industry of the Republic of Venice.
