Porta da Mar is located on Riva San Biasio, on the panoramic promenade that runs along the Basin and St Mark’s Square to the Gardens, home to the Biennal Art and Architecture exhibitions. The windows of the Junior Suites and the balcony of the hall offer a splendid view extending from St Mark’s Square to the Island of San Giorgio, up to the Lido of Venice. The hotel is surrounded by the most lively and characteristic part of the city among the Calli and Campi of Castello, the most visited district in Venice. The name Porta da Mar comes from the water entrance to the Venice Arsenal, an ancient complex of shipyards and naval workshops that was the heart of industry of the Republic of Venice.
Restored in 2017, all the rooms are finely furnished with precious fabrics and curtains, oak flooring, Murano glass chandeliers and hypoallergenic mattresses. Porta da Mar has 6 rooms including two Junior Suites with views of St Mark's Basin. All the rooms have a private bathroom with a large shower, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries, independent air conditioning, an LCD television with international channels, a safe, minibar and Wi-Fi. Check-in from 1 pm - Check-out before 11 am

Siamo stati per visitare la biennale d'arte ed è molto comoda, inoltre è adiacente ad una via piena di locali dove si può mangiare bene, lo staff è gentilissimo. Torneremo sicuramente!
Location fantastic. View from room #2 was amazing. So nice to smell the bread from Restaurant downstairs in the morning.
As always we enjoyed our stay in Porta da mar. We like the high quality large room with its beautiful lamps and view towards San Giorgio and San Marco. We appreciate the fine bathroom, the quiet place, its neighborhood with many places to eat and enjoy a drink, as well as the close stop for the Alilaguna line from and to the airport.
